For time number 5, a Murfreesboro man has been arrested and charged with Driving on a Revoked License. 29 Year old William J. Lauper was also charged with being a Habitual Offender.

Police viewed Lauper driving a silver BMW sedan without a valid Tennessee registration, which is what led to the traffic stop. When the car came to a stop in a parking lot the officer noted, "Upon stopping, the driver and passenger immediately changed seats."

The switcharoo failed to work for MPD Officer Richard Whitley, who arrested Lauper and charged him for the 5th time with Driving on a Revoked License and being a Habitual Offender.

Lauper will appear in court on October 26, 2016. He is currently free on bond.
