Man allegedly commits suicide in the backyard of a nearby Murfreesboro home

A Georgetown subdivision resident in Murfreesboro called the police after hearing a single gunshot and then finding a deceased man behind his home. The resident who called police told officers that after hearing the shot, he walked into his back yard where he saw a man lying on the ground.

The possible suicide victim was identified as 35-year old of Northfield Boulevard resident. The man was deceased when police arrived.

No word on why the subject picked a backyard near his personal address to harm himself, but the address of where the suicide occurred was less than 400-feet from the victims home.
