Man allegedly stabbed victim in the back in Murfreesboro behind Ashley Furniture

Murfreesboro Police went to St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital the day after Christmas in reference to a possible stabbing incident. The reported victim was said to have been stabbed twice in the back. The victim told officers the stabbing happened behind Ashley Furniture in Murfreesboro, which is the site of a small homeless camp.

Both the victim, James Dailey and suspect, Charles Deskins, were taken to the Emergency Room after the incident unfolded. Dailey was later transported to Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville because of the extent of his injuries.

31-year old Suspect Charles Deskins was charged with aggravated assault. After he was cleared medically, he was transported to the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center in Murfreesboro.
