Man Charged with 4th DUI in Murfreesboro

A 29-year old Murfreesboro man is facing his 4th DUI charge. Terry Josh Elmore was pulled found asleep in his car on Lascassas Pike, according to an official arrest report filed by the M-P-D late last week. Elmore was awakened by officers and agreed to a field sobriety test, which he was said to have failed. Elmore was previously charged with DUI in Davidson and Sumner Counties, this was his first time to be charged with DUI in Rutherford County.

During a search of Elmore’s vehicle, officers say they found 28 Xanax pills with someone else’s name on the bottle. Police also found a small amount of marijuana.

Elmore was charged with not only his 4th DUI, but also with violation of the implied consent law, simple possession of a schedule 6 drug and felony possession of a schedule 6 drug.
