A man found guilty of attempting to traffic a 12-year old girl for sex has been sentenced under new, more strict guidelines in Tennessee.
Under the new Human Trafficking laws in our state, Michael Kohlmeyer will spend the next 22-years behind bars.
Kohlmeyer allegedly asked for a juvenile aged prostitute through a website in 2014. The Davidson County Courts say he offered to pay $5,000 to have sex with a 12-year-old girl.
News Channel 5 reported that Kohlmeyer stated in court, "I never really wanted to buy the child. I wanted pictures, I admit that. That's as far as I was willing to go with any of this."
