A 63-year old man has been charged for the 9^th time with “Driving on a Revoked License.” However, WGNS found that this past Sunday, was actually his 10^th time to face such a charge. Confused?

According to a July of 2013 police report (MPD Arrest Report #13-14463), Brumfield was pulled over on West College Street for a light violation. At the time, the police report showed that he was served a warrant for driving on a revoked license and additionally charged for the same. Evidently, he was not convicted, only charged.

Fast forward to Sunday… 63-year old Brumfield was stopped on Mi-Tech Drive for failing to signal before making a turn. He was pulled over and his license status was checked which revealed 8-prior convictions. Therefore, he was charged with only his 9^th “Driving on a Revoked License” charge.

The culprit is scheduled to appear in court on May 13, 2014.  As of Monday night, he has yet to make bond.
