Man gave clerk his name and then stole a carton of smokes in Murfreesboro

You cannot label some criminals as smart...

A man entered the Memorial Boulevard Mapco store and asked for an application for a Mapco Card. The subject filled out a portion of the information, including his name and age, then swiped a carton of Newport Cigarettes and ran.

It is not known if the man filled out the correct information or not, but police now have the application. So far, an arrest has not been made.
