We are told that the accident occured on Tuesday morning and involved a North Carolina man who was traveling east on I-24 when he wrecked his vehicle. As the man was approaching the 111 Exit on 24, he went off the left side of the interstate and struck the retaining fence and veered back across his lane of traffic and off the roadway again. His car rolled over and struck a road sign shearing it off its post base.
Because the wreck was in Coffee County, the Manchester Fire & Rescue Department was there to remove the car door to gain access to the interior of the Toyota Camry.
Kyle Hince of Winston Salem, NC apparently fell asleep at the wheel and was taken to the Medical Center of Manchester by Coffee County EMS with what appeared to be only minor injuries.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol was in charge of the scene.
