A drive by shooting was reported in Murfreesboro on Monday around 11:00 at night. The incident was in the area of Sulphur Springs Road.

The person who called the police told officers she saw a white four door sedan turn left onto Sulphur Springs Road from Northfield and then witnessed a man lean out of the car and fire eight to ten shots from a gun.

Police located five shell casings on the road and collected them as evidence.

The woman who called the police further stated that she saw someone shooting from the tree line behind Saddlebrook Apartments.

The good news: No one was hurt and no property damage was found. The bad news: No arrest could be made.
