Murfreesboro Police chased down a subject who was wanted on warrants and the suspect refused to stop. The police report shows that 38-year old Jonathan Henry Brown had to be tazed twice and even wrestled to the ground by two police officers prior to being placed in handcuffs. The struggle lasted for several minutes and at one point Brown had possession of the officers taser, according to a police report released on Wednesday. The arresting officer eventually took the taser back, throwing it out of reach of the suspect.

It was later revealed that the subject had both cocaine and crack in his possession when police spotted him in the area of Reid Avenue on Monday morning.

After the struggle to capture the suspect and his eventual arrest, Brown told police that he was having chest pains. He was taken to the hospital where nurses attempted to draw blood from his arm. However, they were unable to do so because the blood continued to clot which meant no blood tests could be performed. Brown stated, "It was because he had so much cocaine in his system and that he had not been to sleep in two days." Cocaine is well documented to cause blood clots, strokes and death.

Police searched Brown's cell phone and found activity of drug deals.

Police served Brown the original warrant which was for "Indecent Exposure and Resisting Arrest" and also charged him with "Aggravated Assault, Felony Possession of a Schedule II Drug, Resisting Arrest and Evading Arrest." Brown, who told police he is unemployed, will be in court on January 6, 2016.
