A man convicted of aggravated burglary in Rutherford County has filed an appeal. Appellant Robert King Vaughn, Jr. was sentenced to 13-years behind bars in 2013 and the courts agreed to suspending the sentence which would allow for him to serve the term on Community Corrections instead of behind bars.

A month after the court case, a warrant was filed against Vaughn after he allegedly violated the terms of his Community Corrections. As a result, he was ordered to serve the remainder of his 13-year sentence behind bars.

Evidently, Vaughn used cocaine while under Community Corrections and failed a drug screen. The courts directly warned Vaughn in the past to stay away from using or possessing any controlled substance or mind altering drug.

Vaughn will now serve the remainder of his sentence behind bars.
