On Thursday afternoon, Rutherford County Sheriff Deputies arrested a man on Broad Street in front of Southereastern Tire who was wanted in connection with a home invasion that occurred in April. The traffic stop and the arrest that followed had motorist stopping out of concern in front of the local tire shop on Broad Street.

Evidently, guns were drawn when Errol Lyons was stopped in his minivan on Broad Street. The 35-year old was said to have played a role in an April 3rd home invasion at the Terrace Inn Apartments in Smyrna.

Smyrna Police Chief Kevin Arnold told us in an email, "The suspects held the resident at gunpoint while they assaulted and robbed two visitors at this location. One of the suspects in this case was identified as Errol Lyons, a black male 35 years of age with a last known address in Antioch.  Another of the suspects was identified as a black male known by the nickname “Woo”, and a white female who goes by the nickname “Kat”. “Kat” may reside in Murfreesboro."

Errol Lyons currently had active warrants for Aggravated Robbery and two counts of Aggravated Assault among other warrants with the Smyrna PD and others.

Anyone with information on the true identity of “Woo” and “Kat,” are asked to contact Detective Allan Nabours with the Smyrna Police Department at phone number (615) 459-6644 or (615) 267-5434.
