More and more "Mary Jane" or marijuana is being located throughout Rutherford County. With it being illegal, arrests are also being made on a daily basis. Murfreesboro Police most recently responded to a complaint of possible drug activity at an apartment on Huntington Drive.

When police arrived at the B building at Colony House Apartments, they met with Edward Collins who allowed officers inside his residence. Police soon located two marijuana plants in a rear bedroom. Collins admitted that the plants were in fact his. Digital scales, a bong, a generator, specialty lights and other items were found in the apartment. Many of the items are commonly used to grow weed, according to a police arrest report.
