SLIDESHOW

With the recent events in Texas, Florida and across the country, Rutherford County Emergency Medical Services and the Special Operations wants the community to know they're ready to respond.

In the event such a tragedy or large scale emergency occurs here, EMS and SORT have a mass casualty trailer equipped with triage and medical supplies. SORT has the ability to deploy to the scene and triage with paramedics on the scene.

They also have an "ambu-bus," prepared to treat and transport up to 12 critically injured patients and the "walking wounded."

You can check out WGNSRadio.com for photos of the equipment RCEMS and SORT have on hand to stay proactive for citizens.
