The new Sprouts Farmers Market at 143 Wendlewood Drive is now open. This is just off Memorial and next to Adams Place.

The grocery chain that claims "healthy eating for less" did not just happen to select Murfreesboro. Mayor Shane McFarland told NewsRadio WGNS . . .

And the mayor notes that thinking out of the box and not be afraid to ask the big questions, will get you different results. He concluded, "If you always do the same thing, then you'll never improve on what you have."

He commented that was why the "Bottoms Project" will be successful and bring more fresh, new excitement to the historic downtown area. This area of live music, great restaurants, art, boutique hotels and more can become a reality because of the "out of the box" thinking of the citizens of Murfreesboro.

The study group is looking into this concept, and Mayor McFarland indicated the initial study could take a year. WGNS will keep you informed.
