Medford Campbell Blvd. Woman Accused of Dragging Her Husband

A 44-year old Medford Campbell Boulevard woman is in jail on aggravated domestic assault charges, accused of dragging her husband down the road. According to Murfreesboro Police arrest reports, Kelly Karl was in an argument with her husband and decided to leave. Officer Gaines reports she grabbed her purse and ran out of the foor. She reported to the officer her husband grabbed the hood of the car near the windshield. He let go as she backed out of the driveway. But according to the arrest report, Officer Gaines determined marks on the car indicated the victim was struck by the car as it was moving forward as it was not probable her story could have caused his injuries. He sustained several broken ribs, a broken shoulder blade and a large cut on his head. The victim was found in front of his neighbor's house and Officer Gaines reports his injuries show he was possibly dragged that distance. Karl told authorities the argument started over her husband's drinking of alcohol. She was arrested around 5:45 Sunday morning and placed under a 35-hundred dollar bond. Karl is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court on July 17th. The victim is recovering from his injuries at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital.
