Murfreesboro Police were summoned to St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital this past weekend to speak to a man who was robbed and assaulted.

The victim told police he was at Aspen Heights Apartments (1955 Old Castle Dr.) and as he was walking to a friend's unit, three subjects wearing Jokers masks approached him on foot. One of the three was armed with a handgun and grabbed the victims' cellphone. The armed Joker then pushed the gun into the stomach of the 21-year old man and pulled the trigger. Luckily, the gun did not fire. That was when the men assaulted the victim striking him in the head with the gun.
