With the holiday season upon us, the Smyrna Police Department would like to remind merchants that unfortunately there are individuals that seek to take from us what is rightfully ours. The Smyrna Police Department is proud to host a Merchant Protection Seminar, presented by the United States Secret Service, Nashville Field Office. Topics will include tactics to avoid identity theft for business owners and customers, catching counterfeit money (both paper and digital), recognizing illegal schemes and shopping scams and an overview of safe business practices in a local community. This will be conducted at the Smyrna Police Department on Wednesday, December 11th from 12 noon until 1:00pm. The Smyrna Police Department, located at 400 Enon Springs Road East, encourages anyone who wants to come to this informational meeting to grab their lunch and bring it with them and take in this valuable information. If anyone has any questions or concerns feel free to call Chief Kevin Arnold at 615-459-6644.
