(Murfreesboro) Around 3:30 Thursday afternoon Murfreesboro Fire Rescue Department responded to the Tennessee Valley Authority for a possible propane leak at their office, 650 Middle Tennessee Boulevard.

According to Battalion Chief Tim Swann, around 12 employees were evacuating the building as responders arrived.

A pipe providing propane from a tank to a generator was emitting gas.

Crews pulled hose lines and set up the aerial for precaution, as they cut off the valve to the tank.

Murfreesboro Fire and Rescue is now monitoring the air quality in and around the structure, and as soon levels are favorable, employees will be allowed to re-enter.
