(MURFREESBORO) Murfreesboro Fire Rescue officials say a fire that occurred Sunday (7/23/2019) at Yard Sale, 204 S. Front Street, was intentionally set, and they need the public's assistance with identifying the person of interest.

According to Fire & Life Safety Specialist Shan Womack, a subject was seen walking up to the dumpster behind the business and appears to have intentionally set it on fire. "The person is believed to be a middle-aged male with visible leg tattoos," said Womack. "He was last seen wearing a bright orange t-shirt and light-colored shorts and dark shoes."

Surveillance footage shows the subject lighting a cigarette while approaching the dumpster, then using the same lighter to ignite its contents before leaving the area on foot.

The Fire Marshal's Office is asking for the public's help in identifying the person captured on video. Callers will remain anonymous and cash rewards of up to $1,000 are offered for information leading to the arrest of persons of interest.
