REALTOR Bill Carey coordinated a new fundraiser in 1976 to benefit the American Diabetes Association, among other local needs and requests. His new idea was to sponsor a one-day golf scramble on a warm June afternoon with fun and prizes for everyone and to raise money for great causes. Thirty-six years later, the Bill Carey REALTOR Golf Scramble has raised over $200,000 to help our community.

The proceeds for the Bill Carey REALTOR Golf Scramble are divided each year between the American Diabetes Association and the Middle Tennessee Association of REALTORS (MTAR) Scholarship Fund.
