Missouri Family Reunited with Service Dog in Murfreesboro

A wonderful ending to a story of a boy and his service dog, Ziggy - now reunited after over a month apart. NewsChannel 5 reports 16-year old Ethan Duplass is elated to have his furry friend back home. About a month ago, the family was in Murfreesboro for a funeral, packing their vehicle to return home to Missouri when a loud noise spooked Ziggy. Katrina Duplass says they stayed a couple of extra days but eventually had to leave Murfreesboro, broken-hearted...

Ethan suffers from Asperger syndrome and Ziggy helps to keep him calm. James Maynard saw a post of a boxer matching Ziggy's description found in the Stones River National Battlefield and went to pick him up. He saw a post on CraigsList mentioning the Duplass' situation...

Katrina and the family loaded up, drove overnight and met Maynard at a local Wal-Mart. Ziggy is finally home after almost a month alone in Murfreesboro. Katrina says she wants to thank everyone who helped look for Ziggy and reuniting them with their furry friend.
