Monday Afternoon Crash Kills Indiana Male On Almaville Road

Shortly after 4:00 o'clock Monday afternoon (3/25/2013) a single-vehicle crash on Almaville Road killed one person.  59-year old Craig Miller of Fort Wayne, Indiana died at the scene.

A witness told officials that the military green 2001 Jeep Wrangler was traveling along Almaville Road near Spantown Road. The vehicle reportedly ran off the roadway near the bridge that crosses Stewart Creek, and flipped after hitting the bridge railing, crashing some 10-feet to the rocky creek bed below.

Trooper Michael Morgan reports that Miller was wearing a seatbelt and that alcohol and drug tests have been requested.

In addition to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, the Almaville Fire Department, Rutherford County Emergency Medical Services and the Rutherford County Sheriffs Office responded to the fatal crash site.
