MORE: Fake money popping up more in Murfreesboro

Multiple reports are being filed by local businesses in regards to counterfeit money.

One report from Walmart on Old Fort Parkway shows that they confiscated 12 fake bills in denominations of $20 and $100.

The Shell Gas Station on North Rutherford Boulevard reported a fake $100 bill and two fake twenties.

On Battalion Blvd. in Murfreesboro, the Speedway gas station received a fraudulent $10 bill.

A shift manager at the McDonalds inside the Rutherford Blvd. Walmart called the police after receiving five counterfeit $20 bills. Of the five, there were only two different serial numbers on the fake cash.

Fake cash also turned up at a local Tigermart gas station on Tuesday. At the East Northfield Blvd. address, police confiscated a fake $50 bill.
