WGNS has ANOTHER update on a man we first told you about this past weekend who has been charged with sexual exploitation of a minor. We have confirmed that 27-year old Matthew Hughes of Knollwood Drive in Murfreesboro was charged with a total of 10-counts of Sexual Exploitation of a Minor after he allegedly went on a date with a woman in Nashville. It was on that date that he allegedly showed the woman, whom he had met on a dating website, pornographic pictures of children that were supposedly on his cell phone. According to the incident report (MPD #13-10039) Hughes then asked the woman to have sex with him and reportedly grabbed her by the throat. The female told authorities that she did have sex with him, but did not know if it should be considered as rape, “due to how afraid she was.”

MOREDuring questioning at the Murfreesboro Police Department, Detective Tommy Roberts wrote, “Mr. Hughes admitted to having multiple images of child porn on his cell phone.” A search warrant allowed Detective Roberts to look through his phone and a signed consent form allowed for the search of Hughes laptop computer.

The 31-year old victim who lives in Kentucky told officers in Murfreesboro that she met Hughes via “PlentyOfFish.com.” A second police report was also filed in Nashville.

We should add that this is his second time to be arrested over a two day period. Police allegedly found porn related images on his cell phone.

WGNS obtained a police report from the city police department that confirms the day before he was arrested and booked into the local jail on previous charges of sexual exploitation of a minor. Then, a day later after posting bond and going home, he was re-arrested on even more related charges. When he was arrested a second time, three officers showed up at his home to take him into custody.

Hughes, who evidently works from time to time as a DJ in Davidson County, is behind bars under a $1-million dollar bond. He will appear in court next week on June 3rd.
