The talks of food stamps is in the news again. This past Friday we told you about the federal government’s decrease in funding for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program known as SNAP. As we previously reported, the cut will affect a family of four by about $32 per month. We have since learned that more drops in funding may be nearing and some of those decreases could come in the form of drug test for the poor.

Today's food stamp program utilizes an EBT card that is similar to a credit card. Money is loaded onto the card each month.
