Motorcycle Vs. Truck Collision, Beechgrove Resident Seriously Injured

A two vehicle crash occurred around 2pm Saturday afternoon on Hwy 41 in front of Busy Corner Truck Stop in Manchester, TN. The man operating the bike was a Beechgrove resident.

In a report from the Tennessee Highway Patrol, the 2008 Kawasaki KLE Motorcycle driven by Mahir Hayta, 38 of Beechgrove was traveling southbound on Hwy 41. A 1990 Toyota pick-up operated by 58 year-old Ronald E. Clippard of Manchester turned left towards the Truck Stop and turned directly in front of Hayta’s motorcycle. The Kawasaki collided into the side of the truck.

Hayta was injured and was taken from the scene via Air Evac Helicopter to Vanderbilt Medical Center. The two people in the truck Kalinda Clippard, 24 of Manchester and Ronald E. Clippard were uninjured.
