Murfreesboro Police are on the cutting edge when it comes to investigations. Congratulations are in order for Cybercrime and Digital Forensics Detective Tyler Smith who received the United States Attorney Awards For Excellence in Law Enforcement.

Smith worked a nationwide skimmer fraud ring which lead to convictions of Cuban Nationals.

Capt. Nate McDaniel accepted on his behalf at an awards ceremony Wednesday in Nashville.


The move to the new Murfreesboro Police headquarters on North Highland Avenue, enabled them to install a large number of state of the art investigation equipment. Again, congratulations to Detective Tyler Smith.
