(MURFREESBORO) Officers with the Murfreesboro Police Department were at the State Farm Insurance Operation Center at 2500 Memorial Boulevard Tuesday (9/17/2019) afternoon, and they worked with the staff on a drill of what to do if an active shooter came into the complex.

Murfreesboro Police Sgt. Scott Newberg and Sgt. Justin Lemanski held an active shooter community engagement exercise that showed employees what to do if an actual situation of that type occurred.

Public Information Officer Larry Flowers noted that the goal was to make sure all employees understand the principals of workplace violence and how to respond.
