The MTCS boys, the number one seed in the District 9A, made a perfect run in the tournament, taking a 73-67 championship game win over Huntland. Nate Howell had 32 points in the win for the 23-4 Cougars.

The Cougars never trailed against the host Hornets and capped off an undefeated district regular season. The Cougars claim their third District Tournament Championship in the program's history.

Eagleville dropped a double overtime thriller in the consolation game, 91-90, to Community. Austin Strickland had 23 for the Eagles.
