MTCS to hold 5K "Strong Tower" Race on Saturday

A 5K race will be held in Murfreesboro at Middle Tennessee Christian School this Saturday, April 12th. Trey Helton helped to organize the “Strong Tower” race and fun run. Helton told us that unlike public schools, the Christian school does not have a tax base to draw from to make capital improvements or to fund security concerns. The race will help to raise money to fund future projects…

Last year, the school implemented magnetic coded school ID cards similar to hotel key cards. Each student and employee ID allows the user access into the school. Those who don’t have an MTCS ID card have to speak to the office before admittance into the building is allowed.

Money raised will also benefit the Fisher House on the York VA Medical Center Campus in Murfreesboro.
