The Middle Tennessee State University Board of Trustees will meet on Tuesday of next week, March 27, 2018.
Some of the items to be discussed include new academic programs, an athletics master plan amendment, compensation strategy, institutional mission/mission profile and the board of trustees policy.
Another item to be addressed on Tuesday will be the president's compensation and contract. Items addressed at the meeting will be in use for not only current president Dr. Sydney McPhee, but also future MTSU presidents.
One of the items recently approved this past January was in regards to free speech on the MTSU campus. The policy approved by the Board of Trustees on January 1, 2018 affirms the principles of free speech on the campus. The policy highlighted, "MTSU affirms that students have a fundamental constitutional right to free speech."
The Board of Trustees meeting is at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, March 27, on the second floor of the MTSU Student Union Building.
