A multi-vehicle crash involving a tandem-trailer rig brought I-24 eastbound traffic to a stop around 3:00 o'clock Tuesday (7/10/2018) afternoon. This was at mile marker 66, near the Sam Ridley Parkway in Smyrna.
All lanes of traffic going toward Murfreesboro were shut-down. That is where the road grade begins to rise, and the location of numerous other serious crashes. The most recent was a fatal motorcycle crash a few days ago.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol and Rutherford County Sheriffs Office teamed to work this crash.
