Murder Convict to Serve Life Behind Bars for 2017 Rutherford County Murder

We have more news on the arrest of a 47-year-old Wilson County man charged with first-degree murder in Rutherford County.

In December of 2018, David Oeser (Pronounced e-sir) was found guilty of murdering James Burney Whitehead in Murfreesboro. According to court filings in February of this year (2019), Oeser will now spend the rest of his life in prison.

District Attorney Jennings Jones stated...

Oeser was found guilty of First Degree Premeditated Murder, Especially Aggravated Robbery , First Degree Felony Murder, Aggravated Burglary and Tampering with Evidence.
