The Murfreesboro 2035 Task Force will meet this Wednesday. This committee will hear from Kendig Keast Collaborative, a consultant, on housing. The consultant will present information about housing as it relates to Murfreesboro's quality of life, community character, and growth capacity. The Task Force is part of the 2-year process of developing a comprehensive plan for the City of Murfreesboro called Murfreesboro 2035: Our Future Begins Now.
The meeting will take place Wednesday from 5:30 to 7:30pm at Patterson Park Community Center.
Murfreesboro 2035 is a community-wide process to plan for the next 20 years of growth and development. The final results of the two-year planning process is the City of Murfreesboro's Comprehensive Plan, a community guidebook that specifies policy, program, and project initiatives for the City. The plan elements include major functions of the City: transportation, land use, housing and neighborhoods, parks and recreation, public facilities, historic preservation, and economic development with a focus on population growth and infrastructure.
