Murfreesboro Aviation, Tennessee's largest aviation school, is offering free Discovery Flights all day on Veterans Day for veterans of all branches.

Our owner, Corporal James "Jim" Gardner, an honorably discharged disabled Desert Shield/Desert Storm Veteran of the US Army, is bringing the Veteran community together for this very special day in honor of our veterans. Jim is an experienced pilot and will be offering flights in his personal aircraft as well. "I'm honored to be a veteran and we would like to honor all branches, who have also served. This is a small gesture to make a happy and exciting memory for my fellow veterans," stated Gardner.

Monday is Veterans Day, the one day each year we do our best to honor, thank and celebrate the veterans who have served our country. Because Veterans Day honors Veterans still living, be sure to thank a veteran today! Saying "thank you for your service to our country" is the very least that we can do for those who have done so much.

The families of service members also pay the price of their loved ones service. In the song "They Also Serve," John Conlee sings;

They also serve those who stand and wait.

Praying by the phone to learn their loved ones fate.

But they're still in the war, let there be no mistake.

They also serve, those who stand and wait.

If you, or someone you know is a veteran and would enjoy the opportunity to participate in this free flying experience, give us a call and schedule your flight while space is available. We will be flying from 6 am to 9 pm! Just let us know that you are a veteran when you call and would like to fly that day (615) 494-1900.

You can find Murfreesboro Aviation at 1936 Memorial Boulevard, 37129. Look for the American Flag. Our door is just underneath.

We want as many veterans to participate in this event that want to fly.
