Murfreesboro City Schools Festival Choir Set to Perform March 9

Music teachers and students from all 12 Murfreesboro City Schools will be participating in the 5th Annual MCS Festival Choir concert Thursday, March 9th.

Family, friends and community members are invited to attend the free performance at 5:45 pm in the Erma Siegel Elementary School Gymnasium. Students and teachers are excited to perform as part of Music in Our Schools Month.

Schools have been rehearsing on their own since January and will practice as a unit before the performance. The combined choir totals over 300 students and also includes John Pittard's Steel de Boro and Reeves-Rogers Drumming Ensemble. The Bradley Academy Musical Theater will be performing an excerpt from their upcoming production, "Seussical Jr."

All parents, family and friends are encouraged to attend the concert so mark your calendars.
