Murfreesboro Electric Speaking Out About Recent Electric Department Scams (with audio)

The scams continue in Murfreesboro. Unknown persons are calling on local businesses and telling them they owe money for a past due electric bill. Amy Byers, spokesperson for the Murfreesboro Electric Department, told WGNS news...


Byers said if you receive such a call, notify the police. When a bill is past due, the electric department will first send the customer a notification in the mail.
