A Murfreesboro Electric customer became quite upset when his power was shut off, according to a recent police report.

On Wednesday morning, the customer, who lives on Veterans Parkway, evidently called the electric department to complain about his power being shut down. The operator who took the call noted that the customer seemed very calm until the last few minutes of the phone call. The police report shows that the man is accused of stating, "I'm just gonna' come shoot up the office then."

The Murfreesboro Electric Department is currently under special watch by the police department as a result of the customer threatening to open fire at the North Walnut Street address.

Murfreesboro Police spoke to the suspect who confessed that he should not have made the statement. When asked if he had any weapons in his possession, he stated he did not. Furthermore, the man allegedly replied, "He wouldn't know how to shoot a gun if he had one."

No arrest was made and the customers power was turned back on with the escort of a police officer.
