Murfreesboro home shot 7 times in Wednesday morning incident

Gunshots rang into the morning air on Wednesday around 1:15 AM. The shots were heard in the area of Passage Drive near Rutherford Boulevard in Murfreesboro.

Police arrived on the scene and located a total of six shell casings from a .22 caliber gun. Officers also found that seven bullets entered a home on Passage Drive in the 1500 block.

At least two bullets went through a bedroom window and one went through a living room window of a home. The residents in the home were asleep and did not even realize their home had been shot multiple times, according to a police report on file with the MPD. No one was injured in the shooting.


After the gunshots were heard, a resident reported seeing a dark colored Oldsmobile leaving the area. But, no suspects have been made.
