An insurance company owner and Murfreesboro native was found dead with a head wound Tuesday morning in St. John, Virgin Islands. Edward H. Netherland was found in his isolated rental home at the farthest reach of an undeveloped luxury subdivision at Privateer Bay.

The St. John Tradewinds newspaper spoke with the property owner and neighbors, who report there appeared to have been a struggle and his wallet and watch were taken. Netherland's body was discovered by a cleaning lady, who found him slumped over between a bed and outside wall.
