Murfreesboro Medical Clinic Announces New Doctor

Murfreesboro Medical Clinic and SurgiCenter proudly announces the arrival of Brannon D. Mangus, M.D. to Otolaryngology.  Dr. Mangus is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery.

Dr. Mangus earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Pensacola Christian College in Pensacola, FL in 2004. He returned to his hometown of Louisville, Kentucky to earn his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Louisville in 2008.  Dr. Mangus completed his Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery residency this year at Vanderbilt University Hospital– “It’s exciting to attract high quality physicians like Dr. Mangus, with such distinguished character and skill,” said MMC CEO, Joseph A. Peay. “He’ll make a substantial contribution to the Clinic and the community.”

Joining Murfreesboro Medical Clinic was a coming home in some ways for Dr. Mangus. Though Dr. Mangus was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky, his wife Tiffany was born in Murfreesboro and both of Dr. Mangus’ parents are from Tennessee. He enjoys spending time with Tiffany and their three boys and relishes opportunities to take his boys hiking and camping along Tennessee’s Cumberland Plateau.

Among other distinctions, Dr. Mangus completed an Endocrine Society Research Fellowship in 2005 and earned a Physician Scientist Award in 2008. Though proficient in all aspects of Otolaryngology, Dr. Mangus will focus on Adult & Pediatric Otolaryngology, Rhinology and Sinus Diseases, Special Interest in Otology, Cochlear Implants, and Head and Neck Surgery.
