Shoppers and their families are invited to Stones River Mall's newest event of the year! Movie at the Mall will feature a free showing of "The Secret Life of Pets" at 11 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 20, in the Food Court.

"Our first Movie at the Mall was a huge success, and we're thrilled to offer another Movie at the Mall while students are out of school for Presidents' Day!" said Melinda Noblitt, Marketing & Events Manager for Stones River Mall.

Along with complimentary popcorn (while supplies last), attendees can enjoy snack specials from The Cookie Store, Joe Muggs Café (located inside Books-A-Million), and Chuck E. Cheese's.

Other restaurants have vacated the Food Court in preparation of the previously-announced dine-in cinema. Both the Food Court and current Books-A-Million will be demolished to make way for new construction of the movie theater building.

Books-A-Million is slated to relocate in next month to the space formerly occupied by Hancock Fabrics (between Sam's Sports Grill and Electronic Expres). Construction has begun inside that space, including a new entrance façade.

"Movie at the Mall is a continuation of our plan to bring movie-themed experiences in anticipation of the new theater," Noblitt continued. "Be sure to visit our website or Facebook page to stay in the know about upcoming events!"

Stones River Mall provides engaging and educational events to shoppers and their families throughout the year. Events are free, and no registration is required. Stones River Mall requires that all children be supervised by an adult during these events.
