The Murfreesboro Rotary Club has made literacy its signature area of focus.
In addition, the local Rotary club has made donations to Books from Birth, The Southeast Young Adult Book Festival, The Dictionary Project, the Boys and Girls Club library, and other deserving groups. By focusing on literacy, the club hopes to have a greater impact in this area.
The Murfreesboro Rotary Club meets at noon on Tuesdays at the Stones River Country Club, and is the oldest civic club in Rutherford County. It was chartered in 1919. For more information, go to murfreesbororotary.org, readtosucceed.org, or Facebook pages for each organization.
