Murfreesboro City Schools’ Sandy Scheele, Supervisor of Child Nutrition, has been selected as the President of Tennessee School Nutrition Association (TSNA).

In Scheele’s tenure with Murfreesboro City Schools, she has served 12 years as Dietary Manager for Erma Siegel Elementary and has been in her current district supervisor role for 4 years.

Sandy has been an active member with TSNA including Marketing Committee Chair, Vice President, President Elect and now President.  Scheele and her fellow officers say they strive to encourage active memberships, seek and share knowledge, and take a proactive approach to changes within the confines of school nutrition.

We are told by the schools district office that the Tennessee School Nutrition Association and its members are committed to the improvement of community directed child nutrition programs.

Murfreesboro City Schools Lisa Trail told WGNS that the district currently consists of twelve schools and they are committed to the academic and personal success of each child.
