In an effort to insure peace when outside groups protest in Murfreesboro on Saturday (10/28/2017), in a voice of unity--many businesses in the downtown district are closing that day to show outsiders there is no desire to encourage hate.

Police agencies are keeping motorized traffic from the area by cordoning off all entrances to the city starting at Broad, and comparable distances from all other entrances to the historic district.

Other plans that will not be covered by media reports, are in place to maintain peace.

One Community United

Area congregations are uniting at 6:00 o'clock this coming Friday night (10/27/2017) for a ONE COMMUNITY PRAYER VIGIL that's being held at First Baptist Church at 200 East Main Street.
