A Murfreesboro woman has been accused of stealing $9,000 from a local man who owns a store in the area.

The victim who lives on Bradyville Pike told police that a woman who works for him showed up at his house asking to borrow money for clothing. The man said instead of giving her money, he gave her clothing from his store. Evidently, she went to try the clothes on in a separate room located in the house and minutes later it was realized that she had just lifted $9,000 from his lock box.

An arrest has not been made in the case, but the woman was indeed arrested on an unrelated crime for violating her probation. The case remains active at this time so names are not being released.
