Murfreesboro woman allows man to use her phone prior to being robbed at knifepoint

The subject knocked on a residential door in Murfreesboro on White Boulevard and told the female that his car broke down and then asked to use her telephone. The incident unfolded near Mitchell Neilson Elementary and Primary Schools.

According to police reports, the 50-year old victim told officers that after telling the man he could use her phone to call for help, he pulled out a pocket knife and stated, "I am not going to hurt you, give me all your money."

The man who was described as a light skinned black male, then emptied the females purse taking with him her wallet and two bottles of prescription medication. The man then left the home on foot.

Detectives with the Murfreesboro Police Department are now investigating the case. At this point, an arrest has not been made.
