The man who died of apparent accidental drowning Wednesday night after he fell from a dock at Four Corners Marina in LaVergne has been identified as 44-year old Daniel Chapman.

Chapman was attending a cookout when he apparently sat down in a chair that had been placed too close to the edge of the dock. He fell into the water just before 8 p.m. Wednesday. Chapman reportedly could not swim. His body was recovered approximately two hours later.
