A woman from Nashville evidently told police she came to Murfreesboro to "steal stuff."

21-year old Lamonteisha Tonya Johnson was arrested at the Belk Department Store at the Avenue shopping center on Medical Center Parkway after allegedly shoplifting over $500 in merchandise. A loss prevention worker in the store caught the theft on video and says Johnson hid items under her clothing. When police arrived at Belk they spoke to Johnson about the theft after she passed all points of payment without paying for the items she was seen taking.
